Mold is a fungus that forms branched hyphae and mainly reproduces by spores. These tiny spores are indistinguishable to the naked eye but are extremely easy to spread. They can enter the room through air circulation by means of doors, Windows, ventilation openings, etc., and even attach to clothes, shoes and pets. Once the conditions are suitable, these spores will multiply in large numbers, forming the fluffy, flocculent or cobweb-like colonies that we can see with the naked eye, which are the mold spots we see in our daily life.

Third. The importance of preventing Mold on mattresses

When considering the following aspects, the importance of anti-mold for mattress fabric cannot be ignored: 1. Health impact: If mattress fabric is in a damp or poorly ventilated environment for a long time, it is very easy for mold to grow. Mold not only produces unpleasant odors but may also release harmful substances such as mold spores and toxins, which are detrimental to human health and may cause respiratory diseases, allergic reactions and other illnesses. 2. Service life: Mold damage can seriously damage the physical properties of mattress fabric, leading to a deterioration in fabric quality and even shortening the service life of the mattress. Anti-mold treated fabrics can effectively inhibit the growth of mold and protect the physical properties and appearance of the fabrics. 3. According to the national standard GBT 24346-2009 Evaluation of Anti-mold Performance of Textiles (Petri Dish Method), the anti-mold performance of mattress fabrics was tested. Based on the observed mold growth on the sample surface, the evaluation was made:

Note:

The culture temperature of the sample is 28℃ and the culture humidity is 90%. It is still sterilized filter paper. The result was observed and confirmed by a microscope with a magnification of (50X).

The detected bacterial strains are as follows:

Aspergillus Niger ATCC 16404, strain generation :4 generations

Ball hair shell ATCC 6205, strain generation :4 generations

Penicillium rostrum CGMCC 3.3875, strain generation :4 generations

Trichum green CGMCC 3.2941, strain generation :4 generations

 

Fifth. Anti-mold performance of anti-mold mattress fabric

The mattress fabric has been processed by the following products of our company:

(1) Mite repellent S-A: 1.0% for fabric weight

(2) Antibacterial agent S-C: 0.6% for fabric weight

 


After being sent to SGS for testing, it has obvious anti-mold performance:
